Nalandabodhi is a network of meditation centers, study groups, and individual members committed to exploring the wisdom teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, under the spiritual guidance of The Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche.
Nalandabodhi Asia (NB Asia)
The establishment of Nalandabodhi Asia (NB Asia) is to serve as a supporting arm to implement the visions and activities of The Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche in Asia. We are committed to support Rinpoche in fulfilling his visions to spread and preserve the genuine and authentic Dharma teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni.
We hope to draw together the students in Asia and utilize this as a platform to exchange information and unite the strength to provide support to Rinpoche. We are determined to make every effort to support Rinpoche’s activities in Asia. NB Asia has incorporated as a charitable organization in Hong Kong.
Another important objective for NB Asia is for Asian to get to know Rinpoche better and have more opportunity to attend and listen to Rinpoche’s auspicious teachings. Rinpoche is acknowledged as one of the foremost scholars and meditation masters of his generation in the Nyingma and Kagyu schools of Tibetan Buddhism. He is known for his sharp intellect, humor, and the lucidity of his teaching style. We aim to prepare Chinese translation for this website introducing the history and Rinpoche’s heritage, Nalandabodhi curriculum and update Rinpoche’s activities in Asia. We also aim to invite Rinpoche and other masters to conduct teachings and retreat in a regular basis.
Rinpoche is keen to support and improve the welfare, health and education conditions for Tibetan monastics and children in Rumtek, India, Nepal and China.
Another vision of Rinpoche is to support and maintain the Dzogchen Monastery in Sichuan, China, (the seat of the Ponlop Rinpoches) – it is an eminent educational centre under Shri Singha Monastic University and the great retreat centre.
